LAURA DAVIS - 2017

EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL - 2017

Aug 2 - 28 (not 14), 8.10pm
UNDERBELLY MED QUAD

“Giddy with big ideas, sparkling with originality, and rich with hilarious wit, Cake In The Rain could be the underground hit of this festival.” – CHORTLE

“An hour with comedian Laura Davis leaves you feeling uplifted, somewhat bewildered, and utterly amazed by such blistering talent.” –TIME OUT

“Davis operates like an obsidian scalpel, peerlessly sharp, but fundamentally fragile, paring infinitely complex emotions and issues down to their dark, hilarious cores in deft strokes. Don't expect any cheap tropes or easy jokes, just vital, deeply intelligent comedy from a total pro.”

OCT 26th 2013- GOLDFIELDS COMEDY GALA

What a show! Our first gala in our series of shows rolling out across the goldfields was a massive success.

Wowing the crowd were musical maestro SAMMY J (ABC's Wednesday Night Fever), FRANK WOODLEY (bona fide comedy legend), DAVE CALLAN (Triple J, Spicks and Specks), TOBY MURESIANU (US), ventriloquist SARAH JONES, acrobatic marvels CIRQUE DU BLOKE and fast rising newcomer DILRUK JAYASINH.

Thanks to our excellent audience 'volounteer' Phillip. Sarah Jones used him onstage, then Frank Woodley used him onstage. We invited Phillip and his girlfriend Sinead to the after party - they'd been a pretty big part of the show after all. :)

A HUGE thank you to the staff and students of University of Ballarat's Advanced Diploma of Live Production Theatre and Events Course. You were just ACE.

And not forgetting the good folk at Kryal Castle who put us up for the night. It was just a bit magical.

(Coming soon: Castlemaine, strap yourselves in, Bendigo, make like a boy scout and be prepared).

Ballarat, you were magical.
